Hygienitech mattress and upholstery cleaning and sanitizing system is a powerful and specially engineered portable extraction, cleaning, and sanitizing device that eradicates dust mites and other harmful contaminants in mattresses and upholstered items. This is a completely dry, chemical-free service, and there is no heat, moisture, or toxins.
Over time, mattresses will begin to accumulate dead skin, dust, dust mites, oils, bacteria, odors, and other contaminants. These can lead to allergic responses in some people, causing or aggravating asthma, eczema, wheezing, coughing, a runny or stuffy nose, irritated eyes, and poor sleep.
A typical residential mattress should ideally be sanitized once every six months. Commercial mattresses should be sanitized more frequently, ideally every three months, depending on the level of occupancy.
Your bed is where you spend one-third of your life, and the overall health of your mattress—what you deposit into it and breathe out of it—does affect your day-to-day life. Dead skin cells, dust mites, dust mite feces, sweat, bacteria, oils, lotions, pollen, and pet dander all build up in your mattress. An average night’s sleep can yield over 12,000,000 dead skin flakes. This is what dust mites thrive on, and heat from your body creates the perfect environment for them to live in.
We perform a free 2-minute test that will show you what is in your mattress.
A typical mattress service will take approximately 20–30 minutes.
As there are no chemicals, and we do not use steam that can penetrate the mattress, there is no moisture, and no drying time is needed. You can make the bed as soon as you like after the treatment.
Killing and removing the allergens that are triggering your allergy or asthma that may be present in your mattress or upholstery that you have direct contact with can help lessen the amount of allergens that you may be exposed to.
No, our system is powerful enough to thoroughly sanitize the mattress without requiring it to be removed from the bed.
Absolutely! As this is a dry, chemical-free process, there are no harsh odors left behind, and there are no chemicals that will remain in or on the mattress after the process. We can clean children's mattresses, cots, or even pet beds.
Vacuums or other devices that are not specifically designed to treat mattresses run the risk of damaging the mattress surface. They do not have the power or high-intensity vibration required to extract the deeply embedded debris from your mattress. Additionally, they have not been specifically designed with the powerful integrated commercial UV-C light, which is proven to kill and eradicate bacteria, viruses, dust mites, and other harmful allergy-inducing debris.
